Australian independent comedy rock musician and film director Cameron Hons has announced his much anticipated restored & remastered editions of all 6 Cameron's Playhouse Movies from 2015 - 2022, along with a newly restored edition of the 2018 spin off movie Jefferson is also planned.
Creator of the long running hit TV series Cameron's Playhouse, Cameron Hons has been hard at work remastering, restoring and re-colouring these films. "The new recoloured editions look amazing" said Cameron. "They are not AI transfers. Every scene in each movie was painstakingly recoloured, restored and remastered myself on a professional software called Davinci Resolve".
Bonus features have also been restored for the first two Cameron's Playhouse films, some that haven't been seen since the original DVD releases from a decade or so ago.
"Even if you have seen these movies before you will still be amazed at how good these remasters look." said Cameron. There is a new director's cut of the first and second film, and the 2nd film has a newly recovered introduction sequence. Credits to every film have also been fixed up and black widescreen bars have been added to each film, the audio to each film has also been remastered.
Cover art has also been updated for each film set remade by Cameron Hons himself, and it doesn't matter if you get the Bluray or 4K version, you'll get the same bonus features on each set.
2025 marks the 10th anniversary of the first Cameron's Playhouse Movie. It is a great way to celebrate it by these new restored colour editions.
The films are based on the hit TV show, which started in 2008 and is still going. Recently, the 9th season of the show was released back in mid 2024. Plans for a 10th season (which will also feature the show's 100th episode) are currently in the works.
