Ren & Stimpy Reboot To Premiere Internationally in July 2024

Comedy Central's long awaited Ren & Stimpy Reboot, which was originally announced back in 2020 and was rumored to be shelved for a while, is likely to hit our screens sometime this year sooner than we think. Possibly, the reason for the delay of the show was due to the release of Futurama Season 11 last year. Billy West had recorded voices for that and also the new Ren & Stimpy Show. Earlier in the year, West mentioned the completion of the voice acting for the Ren & Stimpy Show '24 on Twitter during a conversation with Voice Actor friend Eric Bauza, who is currently the voice of modern Looney Tunes characters.

According to a new post by a reliable Nickelodeon Fan Site, Nickalive, the Ren & Stimpy Reboot is scheduled to be released on Comedy Central Latin America sometime on July 12 due to reported TV listings, with the new episode titles Renhattan / Table For Human / Clear Toilet. Another leaked episode title is Screentime / All About Log.

The reboot, due to the best interests of the fans, does not involve the original series creator John K, who has had several controversial inappropriate allegations made against him on set while working on the original series. He was fired from the show back in the mid 90's, but came back for the short lived Adult Party Cartoon reboot of 2003. But that show was cancelled by Spike TV just after 6 episodes, and only 3 actually aired on television. A 4th unreleased episode called "Life Sucks" began production but was never finished.

Back in June 2024, a full completed episode of the new Ren & Stimpy Reboot got leaked on the social media platform X. The episode, titled Aw Hell Naw! / Squatters showed that it is episode 6 of the series, and original producer Vanessa Coffey was listed in the credits as a return producer. The new series also does not involve regular animator Bob Camp, due to creative differences. But I had seen this leaked episode and I have to say, I liked what I saw and it would make a lot of the original fans of the show happy.

I'm just very excited about the upcoming premiere which is expected to be sometime later in 2024 for US/English territories and would most likely be streaming on Paramount+ for us. It is currently unknown how much episodes the first season of the reboot would include.

I also hope the new Ren & Stimpy reboot would last longer than one season. All I can say is that the new theme song is different, because of copyright reasons most likely, but it is still a very good reboot.

Nickelodeon have been high on their game releasing reboots of their classic contents as of late. Just recently as well we had a premiere of the Fairly Oddparents reboot A New Wish, starring a new cast with the original Cosmo and Wanda and a new style of bright and vibrant animation. The new reboot also did not include any involvement from original series creator Butch Hartman or original voice actress Tara Strong, but many fans seem to enjoy the new reboot.

I hope Nickelodeon revive more of their classic shows as well in the future. There does really seem to still be a big audience for these reboots.
