Today Paramount shared a teaser of the upcoming movie, Sonic The Hedgehog 3 - which featured a sound clip of laughter from Jim Carrey's Dr Robotnik and a orchestrated version of the hit Crush 40 song 'Live & Learn'.
It was a very confusing time when people were worried that Jim Carrey might be retiring from acting back in 2022 after Sonic 2 was released, but looks like he has returned for the new film and said that he was "hiding underground" for the time being since the last movie. You can view the Teaser trailer here.
The film also plans to introduce fan-favourite Sonic character Shadow The Hedgehog, voiced by an unknown cast member at the moment. The film looks like it will be heavily based on the game Sonic Adventure 2, with even the logo resembling the original game.
There will also be a upcoming special on Paramount+ called Knuckles, which will be set during the time of the 2nd and 3rd movie. Idris Elba is said to reprise his role. No news or footage for the upcoming TV show has been shared yet.
Sonic The Hedgehog 3 is due in cinemas on December 20 2024.
